Daycare and Requirements

ABOUT DAYCARE We offer play from 9 a.m. to Noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a final potty break around 5:30 p.m . Our pick up and drop off hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with the option of extended hours for those working longer shifts. Pick up/drop off outside of regular hours can be scheduled for $3 every extra 15 minutes (per family). We have cozy kennels for rest breaks, lunch time (if you provide lunch), and timeouts for rough play. To attend our daycare, ALL dogs must be FULLY vaccinated with Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella , and be spayed or neutered if over the age of 6 months . Puppies must have ALL rounds of booster vaccines completed to attend. For new dogs, we ask for a 7 day waiting period after they receive their vaccinations before scheduling an evaluation. All established dogs need to wait 24 hours before they can return to daycare after receiving vaccinations to make sure they have no adverse reaction to the vaccines. As of this time we do not require the Canine Influenza vaccine. This decision was at the advice of a local vet after a discussion concerning the virus. Dogs can still contract the flu even when vaccinated (just as people can) and may not show symptoms for weeks while still exposing other dogs (similar to Bordetella). This is always a risk when taking your dog to any public setting, including daycare, though we will do our best to keep an eye out for dogs showing symptoms. If a dog in our facility is diagnosed with Kennel Cough (or Canine Influenza) we will send a message to all dog owners as a precaution. All dogs showing any symptoms of illness will be removed from play and asked to be picked up immediately, If a dog has a confirmed illness, they will not be allowed back until they receive an “all clear” from their vet. While we do not REQUIRE monthly flea or heartworm treatments, simply because it is nearly impossible to enforce, we do STRONGLY RECOMMEND them. If we do find fleas on your dog they will be separated from the others until you are able to come and get them. Evaluation Days are FREE and every dog must be evaluated before being accepted into our daycare program. Call ahead to schedule a Tour! We are CLOSED for the following Holidays: New Years Memorial Day 4th of July Labor Day Thanksgiving and Black Friday Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
