adventure walk Requirements

  • All dogs must be fully vaccinated with Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. We highly encourage our adventure walk clients to talk to their vet abiout the leptospirosis vaccine. Please click here for more info: https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/health/leptospirosis-in-dogs/

  • All walking dogs must wait 24 hours after receiving vaccinations (to ensure no adverse reactions) before returning to their scheduled services. Please email or send a picture to us through our app of any updated vaccines!

  • Puppies may begin their 20 minute walks at 4 months of age and once booster vaccinations are complete. Depending on the breed, a puppy’s body is still growing until 1-2+ years of age. High impact exercise can be damaging to their musculoskeletal development, therefore 40 minute walks or half-day hikes will not be an option until approved by your vet.

  • If a dog in our care is diagnosed with a contagious illness or we feel they are displaying symptoms of one, we will notify the owner immediately and the dog may be returned to their home even if the scheduled service has not been completed. If a dog who has participated in social walks has a confirmed illness, their services will be halted until given an “all clear” from their vet. An alternate service will be recommended to appropriately care for the dog as needed. We do our very best to prevent the spread of any illness among the dogs in our care. Although we require each dog to maintain updated vaccines, illnesses may still spread just as they can among humans despite vaccines (e.g. common colds, flu).
