Every dog deserves a little adventure…
Whether you are working from home or headed back into the office, your dog will need a healthy outlet for their energy! By signing up for our adventure walks (or hikes!) your dogs’ human hiking buddies will help them build confidence in a fun and safe way, using Oak Ridge’s beautiful greenways and trails to provide exploration and socialization. Each walker is trained in trail and car safety, dog body language, and are pet First Aid and CPR Certified. We will transport your dog—and some friends—to an appropriate walking trail for their adventure!
You will be sent pictures, videos, notes, potty notifications, and a GPS map of the walk through our app.
The Houndry will always put the safety of its furry clients first, and therefore reserves the right to decline social walks if deemed necessary. You can also request a solo walk if that is your preference.

Types of walks we offer:
Short Social Walk
$125 for a 5 walk pass/20 minute walk ($70 for a 5 walk pass/20 minute walk for each additional dog in a family)
$230 for a 10 walk pass/20 minute walk ($120 for each additional dog in a family)
Long Social Walk
$200 for a 5 walk pass/40 minute walk ($100 for a 5 walk pass/40 minute walk for each additional dog in a family)
$370 for a 10 walk pass/40 minute walk ($170 for each additional dog)
Extra Long Walk
$50 for an hour walk ($30 for an hour walk for each additional dog in a family)
Half-day Hike
$70 per hike ($50 for each additional dog in a family)
Reserved only for established and social dog-walking clients. We need to have walked with them at least four times before they can do the half-day hike.
There may be an additional charge of $1 per mile of travel from Oak Ridge, TN depending on our availability.
FREE MEET AND GREETS
A meet and greet will familiarize your dog to us entering your home. We will also discuss the logistics of our future walks, go over our contract with you, and confirm vaccinations. You will be able to show us where you will keep your dog’s leash, collar, and harness. We may take them on a short walk to see how they are on-leash and go over anything else we may need to ensure their safety. We highly recommend that your dog is on flea, tick, and heartworm medication since they will be enjoying time outdoors with us. We will also do a tick check when we finish our walk and we suggest you do the same when you get home.

Our Mission
We endeavor to treat each of our dog clients with the same love and respect you would expect from a family member. We will always be transparent and provide you the latest information regarding any behavior or health issues with your pup. We ensure that we will respect you and your personal property at all times. We will keep your pup away from unsafe environments or stressful situations. We aim to create peace of mind by ensuring that all dogs are being cared for with the exceptional and individualized attention that they deserve. We will use only positive reinforcement to encourage safe leash-walking behavior and impulse control.
